Description:
The Col de Menté is one of the nicer climbs in the Pyrenees. The climb follows after the Portet d"Aspet. Take the D85 to the left to start climb smoothly. Survive the difficult kilometer between, 2,5 and 3,5 to get rewarded with a nice decent. Next, leave the D85 to take the D44 to the right. Start counting your hairpins - 19 in total - while, after a difficult first kilometer, the climb keeps going up steadily at about 8%. At the last hundreds of meters, you get a 11%+ piece. But so close to the top, that won"t hurt you anymore.
The Col de Menté is situated in Midi-Pyrenees.
Starting from Pont de l'Oule,
the Col de Menté ascent is 10.9 km long. Over this distance, you climb 716 heightmeters.
The average percentage is thus 6.6 %.
