In 2010, once again, the Giro d'Italia challenges the Tour de France and appears to be more for climbers than its big neighbour. The Giro 2010 visits a whole bunch of legendary climbs, among which the Passo Gavia, Mortirolo, Monte Zoncolan, Monte Terminillo and the Kronplatz.

The Giro also visits about 60 km of the Eroica, the Italian Paris-Roubaix. And to proove that the Giro is the real place to be for climbers, the tour visits Cesenatico. For those who don't know, Cesenatico is the place of birth of Marco Pantani.
